The enemy's oldest strategy.
From the Garden of Eden until now, Satan's strategy has remained remarkably consistent. His methods may evolve. His objective never changes.
To create separation between God and mankind.
One of the primary systems Satan uses to create this separation is shame, blame and guilt. These emotional and spiritual distortions were introduced in the Garden of Eden immediately after Adam and Eve sinned against God.
Before sin entered the picture.
But once deception was embraced, shame entered humanity for the first time.
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked. Genesis 3:7
The very first response to sin was not peace. It was shame.
Then came hiding. Then blame. Then guilt. Then separation.
Satan still uses this exact same strategy today.
He attempts to.
But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. 1 John 3:8
This is not merely about knowing scripture. It is about becoming the scripture we claim to believe.
· Will MukesWe are not simply called to know the Bible. We are called to live it.

Godly conviction vs satanic condemnation.
Satan condemns. God convicts. These are not the same thing.
To shame you into hiding from God.
Condemnation sounds like.
- "You are worthless."
- "You will never change."
- "God is disappointed in you."
- "Hide your struggles."
- "You are too broken."
- "You failed again."
To lovingly correct and draw you back into intimacy.
Conviction sounds like.
- "This behavior is not who God created you to be."
- "Return to truth."
- "Repent and be restored."
- "Come back into alignment."
- "You are loved enough to be corrected."
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
The Lord disciplines the one He loves. Hebrews 12:6
Condemnation drives you away from God. Conviction draws you back to Him. The voice you obey reveals the voice you trust.

- Which impacts me most often. Shame, blame or guilt?
- How has hiding affected my spiritual growth?
